Robotics is a science that deals with robots. Many robots are made to look like humans,but many of them don't take that form .Just like :

Robotics are the most widely used in the automotive industry today and its biggest centers are in Japan, China, America and Europe.
The word robot originates in the Czech language, and the first mention of it is the Czech writer Karel Čapek in his play (R. U.R.) in 1920.
